Spinning Sunset Returns to The Strip — This Time, It’s Getting Spooky
If you missed Spinning Sunset West Hollywood this summer, you’ve got another shot — and this one comes with a haunted twist.
The free, family-friendly Spinning Sunset: Spooky Edition lands on Saturday, October 25, from noon to 6 p.m., taking over the Pink Dot parking lot (8495 Sunset Blvd.) with vinyl, DJs, and plenty of Halloween spirit.
Think of it as part record fair, part neighborhood block party, and part costume warm-up. Expect a mix of vinyl and Halloween vendors, live DJ sets, pumpkin decorating, face painting, flash tattoos, free popcorn and vinyl totes, and even a few Rocky Horror Picture Show characters popping up for spooky selfies.
Genevieve Morrill, President & CEO of the West Hollywood Chamber of Commerce told us“the Spinning Sunset event in August brought out our community in full force, with almost 4000 attendees throughout the day. We really wanted to tap into The Strip’s rich music history that it’s so well-known for, but in a way that felt fun and accessible for everyone. With this spooky twist on Spinning Sunset, we’ve found a sweet spot in LA’s event scene that really connects with our community of vinyl lovers. This time around, we wanted to keep that same energy but add a little Halloween twist. Bring the kids to decorate pumpkins or come dance to Cut Chemist’s DJ set, we can’t wait to spin with Angelenos again!”
The event is free, but RSVPs on Eventbrite are encouraged — it gets busy fast. If you post your pics on Instagram and tag @thesunsetstrip, you’ll also be entered into a giveaway with prizes from local spots.
Getting there? Uber is encouraged, but discounted parking and a shuttle service will be available.
This year’s Spinning Sunset also kicks off Halloweek on The Strip, a weeklong Halloween takeover running October 25–November 2, featuring food and drink specials, themed parties, and live music all along Sunset.
Here’s what else to check out that week:
