GARRAS Fashion Show Brings Art and Activism Back to WeHo. The Pacific Design Center will transform into a high-glam runway with a mission when The TransLatin@ Coalition brings back its 11th Annual GARRAS Fashion Show on Saturday, November 15 at 8 p.m.
More than a fashion show, GARRAS (short for Groundbreaking Activism Redirecting & Reforming All Systems) is part celebration, part statement — a showcase of trans, two-spirit, gender-expansive, and intersex (2TGI) talent that mixes artistry with advocacy.
The event, hosted by the country’s largest trans-led organization founded by Latina immigrants, celebrates the creativity and resilience of the 2TGI community while raising funds for the Coalition’s vital work — from housing services and drop-in centers to violence prevention programs.
Last year’s show packed the house with over 700 guests and raised nearly $300,000. Big names like Zaya Wade, TS Madison, Gia Gunn, and Alexandra Grey turned out to support — and this year’s lineup promises another powerful night.
Here’s what to expect in 2025:
Spotlighting 2TGI Designers: A curated mix of designers bringing bold, rule-breaking collections that challenge fashion’s norms and celebrate self-expression.
Scholarships for the Future: Two $5,000 vocational scholarships will be awarded to 2TGI individuals pursuing academic or professional paths in creative fields.
Community Celebration: The show brings together allies, advocates, and supporters for a night of style, visibility, and joy.
TLC President & CEO Bamby Salcedo says the show’s purpose goes deeper than fashion:
“The GARRAS Fashion Show contrasts Transgender Day of Remembrance — it’s a day that celebrates and uplifts the lives of TGI people who are still here. Our existence is resistance.”
The event takes place at the Pacific Design Center in West Hollywood. Tickets and sponsorships are available now at give.translatinacoalition.org.
