West Hollywood Floating Pumpkin Patch splashes back to WeHo city pool on Oct. 26

The City of West Hollywood’s Recreation Services Division is once again turning the pool into a pumpkin patch—literally. The West Hollywood Floating Pumpkin Patch splashes back on Sunday, October 26, 2025, from 1 to 3 p.m. at the West Hollywood Park Aquatic and Recreation Center (5th floor), located at 8750 El Tovar Place, right next to the library.

This is no ordinary pumpkin patch. Instead of walking through hay bales, kids and parents will dive into a heated pool filled with floating pumpkins. Add in some Halloween-themed music, festive decorations, and activities designed for all ages, and you’ve got one of WeHo’s most charming fall traditions.

The event is free, but space is limited, so registration is required through the City’s ActiveNet site. Each participant can take home one pumpkin per person.

What to know before you go

  • Swim attire is required for anyone who wants to join the in-water fun.

  • Swim diapers are required for anyone not yet potty trained.

  • Kids 10 and under must stay within arm’s reach of a parent or guardian in the pool (with a strict 2:1 child-to-adult ratio).

  • Participants ages 11–15 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian while inside the facility.

It’s a short, sweet, and splashy way to celebrate Halloween—WeHo-style.

Glad that the City was requiring people to wear attire for this event. It was good to see three of the City Council members working the table.

Why do the pumpkins need to be “in” the heated pool??? It’s so weird, even for West Hollyweird
