Looks Like “King” Trump Is In a Slump

CNN’s chief data analyst Harry Enten says President Donald Trump’s economic approval ratings have hit new record lows — the worst numbers for any president since the late 1970s.

Speaking on CNN this week, Enten described the polling as “brutal,” noting that Americans are losing confidence in Trump’s handling of the economy amid a prolonged government shutdown and rising frustration over inflation.  “Donald Trump is doing absolutely awful in the minds of the American people,” Enten said. “He’s setting the kinds of records you simply don’t want to set.”

Enten explained that more voters now blame Republicans than Democrats for the economic fallout, and that independent voters are also overwhelmingly critical of Trump’s leadership.  “The bottom line is Donald Trump is at the lowest point ever in either of his terms,” Enten said. “The grade for Donald Trump among the American people is really an F.”

While the analysis is national, the tension feels close to home.  Across West Hollywood, residents and business owners have seen how national economic swings ripple through daily life.  Whether it’s slower business at local shops, tighter budgets for nightlife, or freelancers feeling squeezed by higher costs.  WeHo’s economy depends heavily on disposable income and consumer confidence; when the national mood turns cautious, it tends to show up here.  Enten said the latest data reflects that broader anxiety.

For a city that thrives on service, culture, and connection, the message from Washington is clear: people are uneasy, and the numbers back it up. Between mis-managing the economy, tearing down civil rights, and literally the White House, it looks like King Trump is in a slump and that’s bad news for all of us.

Yeah, “slower business at local shops, tighter budgets for nightlife and freelancers squeezed out by higher costs,” are all Trump’s fault, of course. He deliberately targets West Hollywood.

Oh, by the way, is “No Kings” some kind of poker hand?

Is this piece labeled an opinion piece? Certainly is a biased piece. First of all economic improvement doesn’t happen overnight. You have to remember where things stood during the disastrous Auto Pen administration when inflation was out of control. You have to give time for positive changes to take affect. It’s been less than a year. And with regards to WeHo’s problems of less people patronizing restaurants, bars, etc. that’s due to the city council‘s policy of creating the highest minimum wage in the country for low skilled jobs. As soon as the cost of business went up in the… Read more »

You are incorrectly aligning popular vote with being able to do a job correctly and well. He barely won actually and he is doing a terrible job. Let the bankrupt farmers know that they should just wait…oh wait, they bet the farm and lost. As for news sources, following or not following a news source like a pack of lemmings is ridiculous. .. watch any news source, but use your critical thinking skills to sort through the manufactured reality they are pushing. Your take on Weho bars is wrong too. Bars are facing a global slump. High prices are only… Read more »

I’ve lost %20 equity in my home since this fool became president. That totals about $100k.

I think you were trying to imply that I have no skin in the American game which you are dead wrong.

You probably live in a rent controlled studio somewhere in WEHO and you’re just plain old angry that you have nothing more and that’s why you’re a MAGAtard.

And what’s sick is that (Prince) Newsom signed Builders Delight SB79 after his Bev Hills and Marin County donor base was carved out. They are all as bad as each other.
