Modern Lamps Illuminate MAK Auction

“Light My Way, Stranger” is the very appropriate name for an exhibit and auction by the MAK Center for Art and Architecture of more than a dozen lamps designed by artists and architects this coming Friday. A selection of those lamps is posted here. Proceeds from the auction will benefit MAK and its various programs and operations, which focus on preservation of the landmark Rudolph Schindler House at 835 N. Kings Rd., just south of Willoughby. MAK, founded in 1994, is a satellite of the MAK – Austrian Museum of Applied Arts / Contemporary Art in Vienna.

For a look at all of the lamps offered at auction, and an opportunity to bid online, visit the MAK website, MAKcenter.org. Tickets to the event also are available there.
