When we ran into him the other day at Grindhouse Cafe on Havenhurst (blocks from his usual writing hangout at the Big Gay Starbucks on Santa Monica and Westmount) we wondered why handsome David Pevsner was letting his gray locks grow almost down to his shoulders. Now we know. Pevsner is playing Scrooge in “Scrooge and Marley,” a role that’s a far cry from the one he played in “Party,” when we first met him. We know–it’s not even Thanksgiving yet. But if you want to see a funny gay take on the classic Charles Dickens tale, which also stars Bruce Vilanch, we suggest you check this film out at the Laemmle 7 Playhouse in Pasadena. It starts Wednesday (Nov. 21) at 1 p.m. and runs through Nov. 27.
