So, a sleazy sex website in a desperate marketing ploy has released a “survey” claiming gay men in West Hollywood are the sluttiest in the United States. The website, which serves both a hetero and gay audience, says it is “focused exclusively on helping the rich and successful meet the young and beautiful (we used to call that prostitution). Its highly unscientific survey (sent only to 11,000 of its gay members) ranked West Hollywood “sluttiest,” followed by Washington, D.C., San Francisco, Seattle, Columbus, Chicago, San Diego, New York City, Houston and Atlanta. Former researchers ourselves, we’d say all this proves is that the West Hollywood members of this sugar daddy site are themselves among the sluttiest in the country. But what would you expect from guys who are looking to get paid to get laid? We think West Hollywood might well rank, proudly, as the sexiest gay burg in America. But sluttiest? Not here. As Grandma used to say, “Why buy a cow when the milk is free?” Oh, and you’ll note we didn’t mention the name of the sugar daddy site. I first read the Patch piece about our status as icky, sticky, spermy, rubby, spurty gay male slut capital of the country and felt embarassed. Makes me wish they cleaned the streets with steam EVERY day and used a ton of bleach where any goo might ooze. Is this something to be happy about. Women take a real hit when they behave this way – wonder why it is okay for men. Well, in some ways it is equal opportunity – but to have a poll? Eee-ooow.
