West Hollywood residents requested that three Palm Avenue bungalows be designated historic resources on Monday at the Historic Preservation Commission.
The commission decided to delay a vote until its Feb. 25 meeting, allowing for more public input. The city’s planning staff has recommended the properties not receive historic resource status.
The property owner seeks to replace the bungalows with condominium buildings.
A very timely story that a good friend shared with me. I am currently restoring a historic bungalow on Rangely Ave. in West Hollywood. Once completed, it will be put on the market for sale. We can’t do enough to save our historic homes and buildings, they are our nation’s heritage.
