A cross section of artists pay tribute to LA’s Rick Castro and his black cat, Pyewackett (RIP) at a reception at Antebellum Gallery in Hollywood (1643 N. Las Palmas Ave.) at 7 p.m.
Castro created costumes for Bette Midler, Toni Basil and Tina Turner in the late 1970s, and through the 1980s was a fashion stylist for photographers Herb Ritts, George Hurrell and Joel-Peter Witkin. Since the late 1980s he has created photographs depicting fetish, bondage and all the glory of kink.
A $5 donation is requested at the door. The exhibit runs through March 8. Check the Antebellum website for hours.
