Tim Allen returns to his stand-up roots for a rare performance at the Laugh Factory, 8 p.m.
Before he became a household name, Allen started his career as a comedian in 1975. One of his friends dared him to participate in a comedy night at a Detroit comedy club. Soon after, he moved to Los Angeles and became a regular at The Comedy Store.
He first rose to fame on the TV comedy “Home Improvement.”
During one week in Nov. 1994, Allen had the No. 1 movie in the country (“The Santa Claus”), the top-rated TV show (“Home Improvement”) and was the No. 1 best-selling author (“Don’t Stand Too Close to a Naked Man.”)
Currently, he stars in ABC’s “Last Man Standing.”
