It looks as if Vanderpump really rules! Robert Kovacik, NBC Channel 4 anchor, told the crowd at the West Hollywood Chamber of Commerce annual member meeting Thursday that Lisa Vanderpump’s WeHo based reality show has been renewed for a second season.
The show, “Vanderpump Rules,” is set at Vanderpump’s restaurant, Sur, on North Robertson Boulevard near Melrose. Its nine episodes have tracked the love affairs and fights among Sur’s sexy staff, among which Vanderpump herself tries to broker peace. The fights and affairs among staffers such as Jax Taylor, Tom Sandoval, Stassi Schroeder and Scheana Marie, inspired a recent relationship advice column in WEHOville by local psychotherapist Ken Howard. Vanderpump, who attended the chamber event with her husband, Ken Todd, said that it was too late for advice for her staff. “Maybe electro-shock?” she joked.
In March, Vanderpump, also a member of the cast of “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” will be a contestant on “Dancing with the Stars.” Kovacik, a friend of theirs, also hinted that they are opening another venue in West Hollywood but wouldn’t say where or when.
