Gusford Gallery is exhibiting the work of London-based painter Hugh Mendes. Mendes, known for his still lifes of obituaries from The Guardian, will exhibit paintings of Hollywood icons. The gallery, at 7016 Melrose Ave. and North La Brea, is open 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., Tuesdays through Saturdays.
