La Cienega Design Quarter will hold its fifth annual “Legends of La Cienega” event May 8-10, bringing tastemakers from the worlds of interior design, art, fashion and architecture to West Hollywood.
The La Cienega design district includes more than 50 high-caliber interior design stores on La Cienega Boulevard between Santa Monica and Melrose, and along Melrose Avenue and Melrose Place.
The event, titled “Legends 2013: Time Capsule; Past, Present and Future Design,” includes three days of receptions, panel discussions, cocktail parties, book-signings and exhibitions. Events will be held at design showrooms, and antiques dealer and home furnishings retail stores in WeHo.
Dozens of shop windows throughout the design quarter will show displays by some of the nation’s leading interior designers, including locals Mary McDonald, a WeHo-based designer who has starred on Bravo’s “Million Dollar Decorators,” Kelly Wearstler, whose flagship boutique is in WeHo, Kathryn M. Ireland, also with a WeHo showroom and of Bravo fame, Jeffrey Alan Marks, who lives in Hollywood and has appeared on “Million Dollar Decorators,” Timothy Corrigan, who designs for both European royalty and Hollywood celebrities, Chris Barrett, whose Santa Monica firm designed WeHo restaurant Comme Ça. and Jeff Andrews, an LA-based designer.
Panel discussions will feature editors from national magazines, including “House Beautiful,” “Veranda,” “Traditional,” “Luxe Interiors + Design” and “Elle Décor.”
