Driving down Harper Avenue, one might think purple snow is falling from the sky. And while stranger things have happened in our city, that beautiful, striking purple comes from fully bloomed Jacaranda trees, which can get as tall as 100 feet.
Jacaranda’s are found throughout Southern California and bloom twice a year, although the fall bloom is usually not as striking as the spring bloom.

It’s June 5th … are these still in bloom? I’m coming for a visith this week from Boise, Idaho, and I love to see all the purple Jacarandas in bloom!

Hum? Doesn’t look like 18′ clearance from curb to branch of jacaranda. They certainly adhere to the rule on the Eastside of WEHO.
