Cheer LA: The gay cheerleading philanthropists return for an encore set of spirit-lifting stunts and tumbles.

Shoshana Bean and Jake Simpson: Soul singer Simpson and Broadway belter Bean (Wicked’s Elphaba) take to the stage for some powerhouse duets.

Appearance of the grand marshal: Perhaps the most-anticipated event of the weekend.

Hi Fashion: The LA-based electro-pop duo Jen DM and Rick Gradone.

Kerli: The electronic dance diva and LGBT supporter has been “Walking on Air” from her native Estonia to worldwide fame, with a memorable stop on “Dancing with the Stars.” And now, L.A. Pride.

The Pointer Sisters: In the summer of 1984, as the world was getting ready for the Summer Olympics here in L.A. one high-energy tune was on everyone’s lips: “Jump (for My Love).” Sung by the Pointer Sisters, its video featured athletes competing in track and field events. That July, the single peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100. Though they had been successfully recording together for more than 10 years, “Jump (for My Love)” was second in a string of top 10 hits fro the trio, after “Automatic” and before “I’m So Excited” and Neutron Dance.”

Nearly three decades later, the real-life sisters are still performing, minus one. In 2006, June Pointer passed away. On Saturday night, Anita and Ruth will party like it’s 1984.

That might sound old-school, but the Pointer Sisters’ mark on popular culture hasn’t wanted. Last month, when Kristen Wiig returned to “Saturday Night Live” as host, her opening monologue turned into a rousing rendition of the Pointer Sisters’ “I’m So Excited.” And we know exactly how she feels.

DJ Hector Fonseca: The renowned house music DJ is one of the music industry’s most-requested remixers.

Mike Munich: This Midwestern gay boy’s mad dance skills and ripped physique have earned him stints performing with such pop greats as Ke$ha, Lady GaGa and Adam Lambert, as well as a recurring role as a member of Vocal Adrenaline on Glee.

Kat DeLuna: The Dominican-American singer and dancer is one of the rare sopranos in pop music. She showcases her range on such hits as “Wanna See U Dance (La La La)” and “Whine Up.”
