The Palms Bar
The Palms Bar, at 8572 Santa Monica Blvd. and West Knoll, is holding its official closing party but will remain open through gay pride events next week. There will be giveaways and performances from Lexie Shine and Cheri Lovedog, and DJs Kimberly S, Felicia Villani, Gaye Ann Bruno, Jessica Vasconez, Paulo Ramirez, Myles Matiesse, Ian Tudor and Howie of Tigerheat. It was the first bar i went to in 1994 when I arrived here. It took 25 minutes for the bartender to acknowledge me, even though there was no one else at the bar. It became clear, that I was not welcome . I tried several other times, only to receive the same reaction. good riddance Palms.
