“Making Love Letters” is a fundraising event for the Lavender Effect featuring actors reading fan letters praising the 1982 movie “Making Love.” Actors who agreed to read letters include Barbara Bain, Cleo King, Martha Maclsaac, Mary Gordon Murray and Ann Walker. There will also be a panel discussion of the film featuring Scott Berg, who created the idea for the film, and Barry Sandler, who wrote the screenplay. “Making Love” was the first major studio movie to feature a positive gay role model. The West Hollywood Library is located at 625 N. San Vicente Blvd. south of Santa Monica. Tickets, $20-$50, and more information available here.
