Say Cheese! Council and Friends Pose at Rainbow Crosswalk

In celebration of the one-year anniversary of West Hollywood’s landmark rainbow crosswalks, the city held a dedication ceremony and ribbon-cutting during LA Pride. The ceremony took place at the intersection of Santa Monica and San Vicente Boulevards, and included West Hollywood council members and many West Hollywood residents and community members. The rainbow crosswalks are painted in the colors of the LGBT rainbow flag and are a symbol of gay pride and LGBT rights.

When I watched the council meeting about this, I think Councilmember Prang was opposed to spending the $4,000.00 for this little gathering. Seems like such a waste of money. Sorry the city didn’t listen to you, Mr. Prang…but then they don’t listen to the community members much of the time.
