“Deadbeet,” the new show from artist Scott Tolleson, features his “nasty stubby bitter piece of vegetation,” a garden-destroying root toy. The show is at Toy Art Gallery, 7571 Melrose Ave. at Fairfax. Fifty other toy artists have created their take on the little root man, which will also be displayed. The opening reception is June 29, 7 – 10 p.m., and the show runs through July 21. RSVP on Facebook.
