We love Visit West Hollywood, the organization that promotes travel and tourism for our lovely burg. The hard work of its CEO, Brad Burlingame, is one reason so many Aussies make a stop in WeHo when they tour the United States.

But there’s a group of even more distant travelers that Visit WeHo could target. According to a just released report from UFOStalker.com, there have been only seven visits to West Hollywood by unidentified flying objects since 1969, with the latest on July 8 of this year. That visit was reported by a WeHo resident who declined to disclose his name. UFOStalker declined to disclose the exact location of the UFO, which was spotted hovering outside an apartment window. A map offered by UFOStalker indicates the UFO was hovering on Fountain Avenue just east of Fairfax.

“My handy-man’s son captured this image from his iPod Touch standing in his bedroom in their apartment in West Hollywood,” said the man. “They wish to remain anonymous and didn’t even want to circulate this photo. The boy stated that he looked out his window and saw this shape. He then called down to his mother and sister to quickly come up and see it. He captured the photo quickly, and as his sister ran downstairs and outside to view it from another angle, it disappeared.” UFOStalker didn’t release the photo.

New York City, with 555 sightings, ranks first on a list of the top ten cities visited by aliens in their UFOs according to UFOStalker data from the last 50 some years. Phoenix ranks second with 400 alien visits, although given Arizona’s histrionics about undocumented workers we question their stats. Los Angeles ranks third with 369. And Denver ranks tenth with 176. Given all that WeHo has to offer, we bet a little promotion could put us over the moon in comparison to Denver in no time at all.
