Blondie guitarist Chris Stein’s photography, featuring the early 1970s rock scene including Blondie’s Debbie Harry, is on exhibit at the Morrison Hotel Gallery at the Sunset Marquis Hotel in West Hollywood.
Stein recorded the early punk and new wave culture rising up around him.
The gallery is hosting 24 large prints, many dating back to Blondie’s early years up through the mid-Eighties.
Stein’s photos include a number of his friends and band mates, including the Ramones, Richard Hell and Devo, Andy Warhol photographing Harry, Lester Bangs, LA DJ Rodney Bingenheimer and Chili Peppers singer Anthony Kiedis.
The Morrison Hotel Gallery is located at 1200 Alta Loma Road at Sunset.
The gallery is open 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Wednesday, 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Thursday through Saturday and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday. More information online.
