West Hollywood is providing a cooling center for use over the next few days at the Senior Lounge at Plummer Park, 7377 Santa Monica Blvd. at Fuller. The high heat and high humidity can make the weather dangerous as well as uncomfortable.
The Senior Lounge is an air-conditioned space. The schedule for the cooling center is:
- On Thursday, Sept. 5, open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.;
- On Friday, Sept 6, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.;
- On Saturday, Sept. 7, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.;
- On Sunday, Sept. 8, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The center is available for quiet activities. Those using the center are encouraged to bring books or board games and see staff at Plummer Park to be directed to the Senior Lounge.
