Still can’t afford Kanye West’s Hollywood Hills pad, even though he’s cut the price from $3.3 million to $2.8 million? Maybe it’s time to get real and rent until the real estate market comes to its senses.
If you hurry, you might be able to score Marco Perego’s apartment at La Fontaine, the French Norman building designed by Leland Bryant in the 1930s that sits at 1295 N. Crescent Heights Blvd. at Fountain. Celebuzz hints the Italian artist cum soccer player is moving out of the 1,300-square-foot duplex because he is tying the knot with Zoe Saldana, a rumor confirmed only hours ago by E! News, which says the two were quietly hitched outside London in July.
So why the move? Celebuzz says it’s likely the Perego pad doesn’t have ample closet space for Zaldana, known for her roles in “Pirates of the Caribbean,” the 2009 “Star Trek” and James Cameron’s “Avatar.” But then, what would you expect for a measly $4,500 a month? Still there’s plenty of light from the apartment’s French windows. And the 20-foot-high ceilings provide room for a basketball hoop. But before you contact a rental agent, you might want to take a look at pics that Celebuzz has posted (ignore that Godawful blue sofa — even artists don’t always have good taste.)
