Turns out Hana Nitsche, the German fashion model who is the girlfriend of Russell Simmons, didn’t have to pay $1,000 a pound for the return of her Ivy, the little Chihuahua who she reported missing last week somewhere near Doheny Boulevard in West Hollywood.
CBS Los Angeles reports that a Beverly Hills groundskeeper found the lost dog and took him home to his family in Palmdale for safe keeping. When members of the Carranza family stumbled on a reward poster offering $5,000 for the pooch’s return, they called Nitsche and offered to drive the dog to Los Angeles.
They saved on gas, and Nitsche saved on cash. She showed up at the Carranza’s door with members of The Bodyguard Group of Beverly Hills (previously identified by CBS as “The Stolen Dog Recovery Unit of Beverly Hills”). The Carranzas handed over Ivy. And Nitsche didn’t open her purse to say thank you.
Perhaps the City of West Hollywood should engage The Bodyguard Group to look for its missing pink pooch.
