While we’re still mourning the loss of Lola’s, the recently closed WeHo restaurant credited with creating the apple martini, this cheered us up: Dominick’s, the famous Italian-American WeHo restaurant at 8715 Beverly Blvd. near San Vicente, is celebrating 65 years with 65-cent martinis.

The restaurant, which harkens back to vintage Hollywood and a bygone era of class and sophistication, is offering 65-cent “mini vodka martinis” starting at 5 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 4.

Established in 1948, Dominick’s will also celebrate its birthday with a $45 dinner-for-two entree deal including prime steak pizzaiola with spaghetti and green beans.

The restaurant was a favorite destination for Frank Sinatra and the Rat Pack, along with Marilyn Monroe and Billy Wilder.
