A collision at the corner of Fountain and Curson avenues in West Hollywood early this evening flipped one car through the air and left it landing on its roof. According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department at least one person was taken to the hospital.
Neighbors watching Sheriff’s deputies and the Los Angeles County Fire Department at the scene said today’s was the latest, albeit apparently the worst, in a series of crashes at the intersection. They said drivers on Curson attempt to cross Fountain despite signs permitting only right turns onto Fountain, a major thoroughfare through West Hollywood. Two weeks ago a driver headed west on Fountain flipped his car near Fuller Avenue. That driver also was rescued from the overturned vehicle by the LA County Fire Department.
