Their tear-provoking engagement video has gone viral, and West Hollywood couple Lucas Bane and David Devora have received an flurry of messages from strangers and old friends. But it was one from a former high school nemesis that had the most profound impact on Bane. The well-wishing message came from one of the people who’d bullied him during his high school years.
“Reading his message just had me sobbing,” Bane told WEHOville.com. “It’s just one of those moments you hope for.”
The reformed bully expressed regret about his past actions, and Bane responded with forgiveness.
“It’s been so healing for Lucas,” Devora said.
