Actor and activist Jane Fonda and actor Dylan McDermott appeared at West Hollywood’s Sal Guariello Veterans’ Memorial Day this morning as part of the “One Billion Rising” campaign aimed at curbing violence against women.
They were joined by Mayor Abbe Land and by West Hollywood City Councilmember John Duran, community activist Heidi Shink and Lindsey Horvath, Los Angeles regional coordinator the “One Billion Rising” international campaign as well as other West Hollywood residents. The rally featured speeches and dancing.
Fonda also attended WeHo’s One Billion Rising event in 2013, when she was joined by Anne Hathaway and Marisa Tomei.
i’m sure the women of rwanda are touched.
how about doing something about the homeless problem right here in west hollywood.
a hug and hip gyration doesn’t quite cut it when there is a woman living in her van nearby to crescent heights and santa monica boulevards.
maybe one of those developers building units on la brea and the boulevard could throw some cash towards some kind of outreach center, to benefit the homeless.
or is the cash dedicated to campaign coffers?
