The Tropicana Motel located at 8585 Santa Monica Blvd. Considered a second home to Tom Waits and The Runaways. It was demolished in the eighties to make way for a Ramada Inn. (Vintage Los Angeles)

I love all the old photos! And my favorite Al Martino song is the one he’s most known for, “Spanish Eyes”. Thank you for this article. Is there a printed version of WeHoVille? Good work Alison!

Vintage Los Angeles is the best, and always enjoy the pictures and videos that Ms. Martino posts.
Would be wonderful if this wehoville website would create a section where west hollywood residents cold showcase their vintage pictures. so neat to see our town as it was many years ago before it became beverlybrentmonica, with challenged parking.
