President Obama is in the Los Angeles area today and tomorrow, which means there will be traffic delays in some areas along with bus route changes and road closures. Below is some information provided by the City of West Hollywood to help navigate our SoCal streets while the President is here.
Today, the following streets should be avoided at the indicated times:
- The area around Motor Avenue and Pico Blvd. from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
- The area around Pico Blvd. at Beverly Glen Blvd. from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
- The area around Santa Monica Blvd and Beverly Glen Blvd. from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
- The area around Sunset Blvd. and Beverly Glen Blvd. from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
- The area around Santa Monica Blvd. and Avenue of the Stars from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m.
Tomorrow, the area around Santa Monica Blvd. and Avenue of the Stars should be avoided from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.
As a result of a closure along Santa Monica Boulevard between Wilshire Boulevard and Avenue of the Stars, the following bus routes will be affected from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. Riders should contact the MTA for alternate locations:
