The City of West Hollywood will host a Twitter-based “#Wehochat” discussion on Thursday to focus on the city’s budget-planning process. The #Wehochat will take place from noon to 1 p.m.
The #Wehochat is part of preparation of the city’s two-year operating budget and five-year capital work plan. The operating budget will cover two fiscal years beginning July 1 and running through June 30, 2016. The five-year capital work plan will also be updated through June 30, 2019.
There are five key themes in this budget-planning cycle: Technology, Arts, Human Services/Homelessness, Community Engagement and new Eastside residents. Everyone is invited to participate. An archive of the chat will be made available on the city’s website as an additional resource for people who cannot participate in the live chat.
To participate in the #Wehochat visit www.weho.org/wehochat or www.twubs.com/wehochat on Thursday at noon or follow hashtag #Wehochat through Twitter or other applications such as Hootsuite or Tweetdeck. Information about future chats and archives of all #Wehochat discussions can be found at www.weho.org/wehochat.
The City’s Public Information Office will host additional #Wehochat discussions throughout 2014 covering other topics that may interest city residents, businesses and community members.
