UPDATE 6/19: The design chosen for Bent-Con’s Gay Geek flag, selected via a contest with votes on Facebook, is a rainbow flag with big black specs. Marchers with Bent-Con carried the spectacles-bearing flag in the LA Pride parade.
Voting has opened on Bent-Con’s Gay Geek Flag contest.
Bent-Con, an LGBT geek/pop culture organization that holds a convention each fall, recently called on fans to submit designs for a flag reflecting queer geek Pride.
The designs are in, and voting is open on the Bent-Con Facebook page until June 1. (Votes are cast with Facebook “likes” in the Facebook photo gallery.)
Bent-Con plans to make the winning design into a flag to be used at the L.A. Pride festival and Pride parade.
