Matt Bendik, director of operations for WeHo’s DBA nightclub, was found dead Thursday in a Philadelphia hotel.
Bendik, 31, was in Philadelphia on a business trip according to TMZ, which reported that a hotel housekeeper found his body, face down, in bed at 1 p.m.
Philadelphia police are describing it as a “sudden death.” They said there was no evidence of suicide or foul play and that no weapons or drug paraphernalia were found nearby.
In addition to his work for DBA, Bendik was an owner of AV Nightclub in Hollywood, which some have described as one of the most difficult clubs for an ordinary person to gain entry. Bendik’s girlfriend is “Glee” star Becca Tobin.
DBA has posted a sign proclaiming “We Love You Matt” outside the club, which is at 7969 Santa Monica Blvd. near North Hayworth.
