Southern California Edison (SCE) has cancelled the overnight outage that had been scheduled for tonight.
“SCE apologizes for the confusion our planned outages may have caused. We have cancelled the overnight planned outage scheduled for Wednesday, September 24, 2014,” the company said in a statement.
The statement said that “customers on Outage# 657913 will not experience any planned service interruption on Wednesday, September 24, 2014 and there will not be a planned outage over the holiday. Again, SCE apologizes for any confusion this may have caused.” Some customers may have experienced “brief emergency service interruption[s]” on Wednesday morning.
The holiday referenced is Rosh Hashanah. SCE has recently fielded via Twitter some complaints about an outage being scheduled on a Jewish holiday.
