GLAAD, BiNet USA and other bisexual organizations this week launched Bisexual Awareness Week. The awareness week coincides with the 15th anniversary of Celebrate Bisexuality Day, which is observed on September 23 annually.
In Los Angeles, the week kicked off with a “Bisexuality in the Media” panel hosted by the local chapter of the National Lesbian & Gay Journalists Association (NLGJA-LA).
On Tuesday night, which marked Celebrate Bisexuality Day, the Los Angeles Bi Task Force hosted its fifth annual Bi Arts Fest at the LGBT Center’s Village location. In addition to live performances, the event marked the opening of the art exhibit “Bi: Life on the Spectrum” in the Center’s art gallery.
