A 35-year-old man was found guilty today of killing three men in West Hollywood for a few pounds of pot.
Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Mark Windham found Harold Young Park guilty of three counts each of first-degree murder and residential robbery and one count each of burglary and transportation for sale of marijuana.
Windham also found true special circumstance allegations of multiple murders, murder during a robbery and murder during a burglary. Prosecutors decided against seeking his execution. Park is expected to be sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole when he is sentenced Nov. 7.
Pirooz Moussazadeh, 27, his brother, 38-year-old Shahriar Moussazadeh, and Bernard Khalili, 27, were fatally shot by Park on Aug. 26, 2010, in an apartment in the 600 block of North Kings Road. Park had gone to the apartment intending to steal marijuana.
Sheriff’s deputies tracked Park’s vehicle with license-plate scanning technology and arrested him four days later during a traffic stop in Lomita. Deputies found three pounds of marijuana in his vehicle. Park elected to have a trial by judge rather than a jury.
no report on Alex McDonald murder case. He was officially charged today. I wonder what the charges are.
