Alison Martino, creator of Vintage Los Angeles, the ultimate online resource for the history of Los Angeles (and especially Hollywood and The Strip) has worked with the Ebersole Hughes Company, to produce a mini-documentary about the last night of legendary restaurant The Palm in West Hollywood. The documentary, Martino’s second collaboration with Ebersole Hughes, features long-time regulars Angie Dickinson, Mamie Van Doren, Shecky Greene, Shot Gun Kelly and many more. Here you’ll meet owners Bruce Bozzi, Jr. and Wally Ganzi and learn about how the walls of this historic landmark are being preserved.
The Palm left its location at 9001 Santa Monica Blvd. at Ramage Street in September after the owners of the site won the city’s approval to construct a five-story building that will features stores and 42 apartments or condos. Its official opening is tomorrow night at its new location at 267 N. Canon Dr. in Beverly Hills.
The next stop for Martino and her VLA TV? You guessed it: the all new Palm in Beverly Hills.
