Harold Yong Park was convicted Sept. 29 of three counts each of first-degree murder and residential robbery and one count each of burglary and transportation for sale of marijuana.

Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Mark Windham — who heard the case after Park elected to have a non-jury trial — found true the special circumstance allegations of multiple murders, murder during a robbery and murder during a burglary.

Pirooz Moussazadeh, 27, his 38-year-old brother, Shahriar Moussazadeh, and Bernard Khalili, 27, were fatally shot Aug. 26, 2010, in an apartment in the 600 block of North Kings Road.

Park went to the apartment with the intention of stealing the marijuana from the victims, according to trial testimony.
Sheriff’s deputies tracked Park’s vehicle with license-plate scanning technology and arrested him four days later during a traffic stop in Lomita. Deputies found three pounds of marijuana in his vehicle, according to prosecutors.
