Los Angeles County is accepting applications for senior-only public housing for the first time since July 2011 in several cities, including West Hollywood.
From now through midnight on Dec. 31, residents may add their names to waiting lists for nine available properties. Eligible seniors can opt to register for one or all of the waiting lists. Priority will be given to veterans and to those who live in unincorporated areas of the county and 62 cities participating in the senior
housing program.
The properties with units available are in Long Beach, East Los Angeles, La Puente, Whittier, West Hollywood, Marina del Rey, Valencia, La Crescenta and South Los Angeles. All prohibit smoking in the apartments and on the grounds, except for the South Bay Gardens development, which has a designated smoking area.
Anyone who decides against accepting a unit when it is offered will have his or her name removed from all other waiting lists, and will need to re- register if interested.
Seniors can sign up at www.hacola.org or call (626) 586-1845. Waiting lists for family sites and Section 8 housing remain closed.

it’s misogynist and wehoville tolerates it.
Fab! I’m putting my friend Sarah Palin on the list just in case she becomes an alcoholic/rageaholic unable to find redemption and needs a place near the bucking bronco at Saddle Ranch. Please put her on and upper floor so she can see Russians from her window!
