No, Heidi Shink is not backing John Heilman in the June 2 election for West Hollywood Council. Although viewers of Shink’s Twitter feed this afternoon can be forgiven for assuming that.
“Support John Heilman for #WeHo tomorrow ….” read a tweet posted by someone on Shink’s Twitter page who identified herself as Shink. The tweet, which prompted a call from someone to WEHOville asking if Shink was withdrawing from the campaign, was removed by the Shink campaign after it was alerted by WEHOville.
Shink and Heilman are two of four contenders in the race for a single seat on the City Council in the upcoming special election. She has focused her campaign largely against him.
@Miguel Garcia EXACTLY!
Why is Heilman accepting so much money from developers? How can you claim that you are for affordable housing and rent control when you are developing the hell out of WeHO.
@kayaytche, I think Prang’s “groping incident” from 1999 might be a little lower. Also, I believe he cost the city some money in a settlement.

Paying council deputies more than our state lawmakers in Sacramento make, that’s the low point of this campaign of revelations.
I think the absolute low point in WeHo politics was Duran sleeping with his deputy before hiring him . . . but maybe that’s just me . . . .
Ha! There you go again Joe the Plumber! How in heaven’s name do you know the Very ConcernedCitizen is 1) not already doing volunteer work, 2) is not a senior himself/herself or 3) has not done phone banking? What did you do to contribute to society lately other than moan and sling mud on this blog. I have no idea who either of you are but I would also like to hear something other than the infantile trash talk about all four candidates. And if you, Joe, think the developers are NOT running this town AND Heilman, you clearly have… Read more »
There’s a lot you can say about John Heilman – some of it not good but overwhelmingly he’s been very good for WeHo. But to suggest that he hacked Heidi’s twitter account a) as if he would ever do something like that, and b) as if her 330 supporters will really make that much of difference to him winning is ludicrous. Let’s talk about the facts, people and lets not resort to floating out and out lies and bs.
@Very Concerned Citizen: ENOUGH with your dismissive attitude! Facts are facts. People are telling the truth about Ms. Shink. You are merely trying to change to the subject to something unfounded and inaccurate. If you are so very concerned why don’t you do some volunteer work for Seniors, LGBT, Women or some other minority community. Stop complaining about development and do something positive for humanity. There are battered women’s shelters who could use volunteers on Mother’s day! #GAL.
Or, if you want do phone banking (480) 450-4927.
Is this the news? “False tweet prompts call to Wehoville?”
Might that be the kind of person that would create a screen name called “Shink’s Investigation is moving forward!”?
Could this be the absolute low point in WeHo politics?
ENOUGH SLAMMING of SHINK already!
Can you please do a REAL story on how the developers are RUNNING our city! And things WAY more signifigant to this West Hollywood voter
Thank you Mr. Robinson for explaining Ms. Shink’s improper Communication policies.
Ms. P, I dare say, you may have jumped to conclusions, inaccurately referring to Mr. Heilman’s Campaign as “low and dirty.” I suggest an apology.
As for Ms. Shink, I do hope she will refrain from inappropriate tweeting.
