A Look at How the Other Half (of 1 Percent) Live in WeHo

EDITOR’S NOTE:  As several readers have pointed out, this house, while listed as being in West Hollywood, actually is 1,500 feet north of the city’s actual border.

If you’ve wondered how the other half (of one percent) lives in West Hollywood, where the lack of affordable housing is an increasing concern, real estate agents Rayni Romito and Branden Williams are willing to show you in a video of a house listed at $32.9 million on 9133 Oriole Way.

The house has five bedrooms and eight and a half baths, according to Zillow.com, the real estate website. The 12,530-square-foot home, which sits on a half-acre lot, “is your own private island off the Sunset Strip, an entertainer’s dream to host any one of your exclusive events,” Zillow says. It includes a gym, a spa, a theatre, “an oversized subterranean garage to store exotic cars” and a saltwater infinity pool.

The Williams’, who are married, are said to have spent $40,000 to produce the video.

Well, this isn’t in WeHo proper, but it is in the 90069 zip code, above the Sunset Strip West and, most importantly, it’s in the Bird Streets with killer views. I read that Calvin Klein just spent $25 million on a killer modern home on Tanager Way (another Bird Street). Must be nice.
