WeHo’s Council, Sheriff’s Deputies, Firefighters Face Off with Softball

Can’t make Saturday’s game with the Dodgers facing the Cincinnati Reds at Dodger Stadium?

Then consider West Hollywood’s “Home Run Derby,” a friendly competition of members of the West Hollywood City Council, the local Sheriff’s Station and local firefighters at Plummer Park.

No hard balls here. This game will feature softball bats and whiffle balls. It starts at 4 p.m. on the Vista Lawn, which is at 7377 Santa Monica, and will wrap up at 7 p.m. It will be followed by a free screening in the park of “The Perfect Game.”

The event is open to adults, families and kids of all. There will be hot dogs, peanuts, and Cracker Jacks, and there will be pitch, hit and run skill stations as well.
