The City of West Hollywood has released the third episode of “The WeHoans,” a popular YouTube video series warning residents of the closure of part of La Cienega Boulevard for construction through mid-September.

In this episode the earth shakes and the humor remains constant as the performers parody the popular Saturday Night Live skit “The Californians“, in which soap opera-like characters in platinum blonde wigs hilariously describe how to navigate the freeways and streets of metropolitan Los Angeles.

The block of La Cienega between Fountain and Sunset is closed for major utility construction work associated with the Sunset LaCienega project. The city created the video series as one of several measure to alert the public to the closure. For the WeHoans, it teamed up with drag sensations Willam Belli and Bianca Del Rio and other local West Hollywood performers including WeHo Jesus.

Belli is an, actor, drag queen, model, and recording artist who rose to fame on RuPaul’s Drag Race in its fourth season. His YouTube channel features his comedic and music-inspired projects. He has a following of devoted fans with more than 500,000 subscribers and his YouTube videos have received more than 77 million views. Bianca Del Rio has a dual role in The WeHoans as “Roy,” the hapless husband, and as herself, a friend who plans to travel to West Hollywood to visit the WeHoans. Del Rio is an actor, insult comedian, an award-winning costume designer and drag queen who is best known as the winner of RuPaul’s Drag Race, Season Six.

Stay tuned for an episode of bloopers to be released on Sept. 2. Episode 1 and Episode 2 of The WeHoans, which were released on Aug. 12 and Aug. 19, respectively, have received a combined total of more than 235,000 views and have generated several media stories about the city’s creative approach to public service announcements. Each episode of The WeHoans can be seen on Willam Belli’s YouTube channel at www.youtube.com/user/noextrai.
