WeHo to Host Substance Abuse ‘Pop-Up’ on Saturday

The City of West Hollywood will hold a community “pop-up” on Saturday to offer information about local programs that address substance abuse.

National Recovery MonthThe pop-up will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. next to the West Hollywood Recovery Center, 626 N. Robertson Blvd. near El Tovar.

The pop-up will feature information about a range of substance use treatment services; there will be giveaways, as well. The pop-up is free and it is open to the public.

West Hollywood’s Social Services Division regularly hosts “WeHo Cares Community Pop-Ups” to share information with community members about local programs that can have a positive impact on health and well-being.

Saturday’s pop-up is in recognition of September as National Recovery Month. National Recovery Month is a national observance sponsored by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMSHA) to educate Americans about substance use treatment and mental health services that can lead to a healthy and rewarding life. The theme for National Recovery Month 2015 is “Join the Voices for Recovery: Visible, Vocal, Valuable!”
