Worried about finding a parking space outside The Abbey? Call a ride-sharing service. Apparently lots of people do as Lyft, one of the two most popular such services, has just named the West Hollywood bar and restaurant the most popular bar in the United States.

The Abbey is one of more than 60 restaurants, bars, event venues, transit stops and local attractions that will receive “Lyftie Awards” in Lyft’s top markets across the U.S., including San Francisco, New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, D.C., Boston, Seattle, Austin, Nashville and Miami. The Lyftie Awards celebrate businesses and points of interest with the most Lyft passenger drop-offs throughout the year.

Other winners in Greater Los Angeles include Perch, the L.A. restaurant; the Hollywood Bowl; L.A.’s Union Station; the Beverly Center, and In-N-Out burger locations.

Lyft and others such as Uber offer loosely regulated taxi services at prices typically much less than those charged by more strictly regulated taxi companies. Lyft was recently granted permission to pick up passengers at Los Angeles International Airport.
