For some the call was “rain, rain go away; come again another day.” But for most of us in West Hollywood today’s downpour was a dramatic and cleansing way to welcome 2016 (and maybe begin do ease the effects of that awful drought).

If you have friends in other parts of the country (or the world) who scoff when you tell them that West Hollywood is getting drenched, consider sharing the photos on this page. Jon Viscott, the very talented local photographer, got himself more than a little wet capturing this wet winter day, which eventually gave way to sunshine (it is Southern California after all).

Good time to turn your sprinkler system OFF for a while.
