A vehicle overturned on Fountain Avenue at Spaulding Avenue just after 6:30 PM last night.

One woman was transported to a local area hospital in unknown condition. West Hollywood Sheriff’s Station deputies closed Fountain Avenue to traffic in both directions while the overturned vehicle was cleared from the roadway. It is unknown if the rain contributed to the collision.

Fountain is discrace in regards to the speed… forget 50MPH I regularly see / hear people going 65MPH… WEHO council needs to sort that street out, utter disgrace.

Oh that’s what happened! I heard the sirens but didn’t want to walk in the rain to see what happened. Cars were diverted and were speeding down my street (Hampton) for hours. That corner and the next one (Curson) are frequent accident scenes no matter what weather comes our way because Fountain narrows at Curson. Also, people ignore the “Right turn only” sign at Curson and try to go across Fountain or turn left onto Fountain.

Be advised, dear Readers, that I have seen the aftermath of 3 accidents on Fountain within the past year. This makes the 4th. The speed limit is 35 mph and I have seen countless fools driving at 50 mph. Don’t be stupid!
