Christopher Street West is getting the word out early about this June’s LA Pride event by offering discounted tickets to those who purchase ahead of time.

The event, which brings hundreds of thousands of visitors to West Hollywood every year, takes place June 10 through 12. It includes exhibits and a music festival staged in West Hollywood Park, and a parade down Santa Monica Boulevard. This year the festival will be expanded to three days by adding Friday events to its schedule. The lineup of performers will be announced on April 26.

Previous music festival performers have included Kesha, Jenifer Hudson, Fifth Harmony, Tinashe, Danity Kane, Ciara and Kelly Rowland. Last year’s festival brought over 50,000 festival attendees throughout the weekend, making it the largest ticketed music festival in Los Angeles.

This year’s VIP tickets will feature raised viewing platforms and prime main stage viewing spots, exclusive food options with accompanying seating and premium restroom facilities. Single-day private cabana packages with bottle service and an unobstructed view of the main stage are now available for reservation.

Pre-sale festival general admission and VIP weekend passes are available online. The three-day general admission pass is $50 if purchased before before April 26, $55 before June 3, and $60 thereafter. The three-day VIP pass is $100 before April 26, $125 before June 3 and $150 thereafter.

The parade and associated events will be celebrating their 46th anniversary in West Hollywood. Also, with a schedule yet to be announced, are a series of One City One Pride events arranged by the City of West Hollywood.

“It’s extremely exciting to be part of the momentum surrounding the L.A. Pride music festival and parade,” said Chris Classen, president of Christopher Street West, the non-profit organization that stages L.A. Pride. “While we’ve had stellar lineups in the past, this year’s collection of talent and the weekend experience itself really is unlike anything you’ll find in other major music festival.”

Founded in response to the Stonewall Rebellion on Christopher Street in New York on June 28, 1969, Christopher Street West conducted the first parade in the world advocating for gay rights on une 28, 1970 in Hollywood.

I’ve never bought passes, but I had no idea they were that expensive. 😛

What the hell does Christopher Street West do with all that $$$ anyway? This is a joke & an insult to the people who have fought for LGBT rights. CSW should lose their 501c status & move their “music festival” some place else.

With the city of West Hollywood spending about $500,000 net after offsets for LA Pride. (yes its not West Hollywood Pride anymore), that amounts to about $15 per resident. It would appear residents are paying for Pride twice. Once out of our city tax revenue that we all chip in to build on a daily basis and then again with an admission fee to get into the festival. City residents should get discounted or free passes. I’d propose a $5 pass for residents who purchase their tickets before May 31st online. Seems like a fair compromise if free is out… Read more »

You know… I have always thought WeHo Residents should be given free tickets. The City’s Coffers overflow, bestowing unknown millions on unknown alreafy wealthy people involved with all the construction (from planning to building to profits). The City shoul throw a biscut at the Residents who suffer greatly with all the construction and nightlife, but get nothing in exchange for the millions in taxes and revenue the City plays with. How about free tickets for residents. The system is already in place with the Parking office requiring current proof of residency in order to have the opportynity to Pay to… Read more »
