The Stonewall Democratic Club, founded in 1975, was established for gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender individuals and their straight allies committed to achieving equality and advancing progressive and feminist values through the Democratic Party.
Here is a man with a moral compass who is not afraid to use it. Over the decades I have seen him suffer the indignities and consequences of his making the case for progressive values, and he never caved in. He’s a bit young for the title, but look for him to be referred to as the elder statesman in a decade or two.
