Relatively Few Crimes Reported in WeHo Last Week

Below is the weekly crime report from the West Hollywood Sheriff’s Station that calls out incidents in WeHo from July 25 to 31. The times are indicated in Military Time, a form in which midnight is indicated as 0000 and noon as 1200. The list also includes the case number.

CrimeJuly 25

Commercial Burglary (suspect arrested). 8500 block Melrose Avenue. @ 0130. A man smashed the glass front door to gain access. Deputies responded and arrested the suspect. $400 (glass door). #04312

July 26

Grand Theft Property. 8500 Block Holloway Drive. @ 1200-1800. The lock was cut and a bicycle was taken from the subterannean parking garage. Loss $1,500. #04349

July 27

Aggravated Assault (suspect arrested). 1100 Block La Brea Avenue. @ 1900. A man raised a wooden stick and tried to hit another man during a dispute over money. #04357

July 28

Vehicle Burglary. 7700 Block Hampton Avenue. @ 2200-0700. The passenger’s side window was smashed and a backpack, clothing and garage remote control were taken from the front seat. Loss $500. #04367

Vehicle Burglary. 1000 Block Spaulding Avenue. @ 2200-1000. The passenger’s side window was smashed and a backpack, wallet and glasses were taken from the front seat. Loss $3,500. #04373

July 30

Strong Arm Robbery. 7900 block Santa Monica Boulevard. @ 0001-0005. A woman was walking with two friends when a man approached her from behind and pulled her purse from her shoulder, causing the strap to break. The suspect took the purse and ran westbound on Santa Monica Blvd. Loss $400. #04407
